Spalding United host Corby Town in the Northern Premier League
Manager Elliot Sandy is relishing the return home for his Spalding United side.
The Tulips are back in action at the Sir Halley Stewart ground tonight (Tuesday) when they host Corby Town in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
It's Spalding's first home match since the 2-1 home victory over Boldmere St Michaels on October 14.
The Tulips have a 100 per cent home record with five successive victories but they will face a stern test against a Corby side who were 6-0 away winners at much-fancied Sporting Khalsa on Saturday.
Former Spalding striker Toby Hilliard was among the goalscorers for the Steelmen who are managed by ex-King's Lynn boss Gary Setchell.
Their visit is the first of back-to-back home league games for the Tulips who host Quorn at the weekend.
Manager Sandy said: "We've got a big week ahead and it feels like ages since we've been at home.
"Corby had a fantastic result at the weekend. They're going to be on a real high and we've got to regroup and go again, it's as simple at that.
"We're still right up in the mix but we know that Corby will be a really tough game.
"We hope that all the Spalding fans turn out because we've missed playing in front of them and hopefully we can put in a performance to get that win."
Spalding go into the match on the back of a 2-2 away draw at Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday.
The Royals scored twice in the final 14 minutes to earn a share of the spoils and leave Spalding in second spot in the table.
Sandy added: "We had a fantastic start to the season and we've probably hit a bit of a rough patch at the moment.
"We've done really well at home but our away results haven't been great. We're still full of positivity though and we're in a very good position in the league.
"As long as we're still in and around it, especially coming up to Christmas, then we won't be too far away. We've got a really good squad and I've got a lot of trust and belief in them all."
Striker Dan Sweeney is now on the road to recovery following a knee operation while full-back Callum Westwood is available again following a suspension.
