Super Stock Car Saturday lives up to its name and more at King's Lynn

Super Stock Car Saturday lived up to its name and more at King's Lynn on Saturday.

More than 110 drivers from all across Britain and several visitors from Holland ventured to Norfolk for a night of thrills, spills and carnage throughout the evening.

In the BriSCA F1’s, father and son Mark and Finn Sargent struggled for results and sadly didn't have much to show for their evening.

An 11th place for Mark was the best result for the Sargent Family, but it was a tough night of racing with many struggling to get the results.

In the BriSCA F2’s, they were racing for the English Open Championship.

Jack Issitt started his night well with a race win in his qualifying heat and he followed that up with a credible ninth in the championship race and a runners-up place in the Allcomers event.

Brother Pat in car 113 also had a strong night, qualifying for the championship race and then finishing a great fifth in that race to his credit.

Fellow Spalding racer Charley Tomblin had a strong night too and was in the results all evening - a fourth place being his best finish.

It's the Vandemonium event this weekend which is a crowd favourite with the return of the big vans.

Live motorised thrills and spills will take place at the Adrian Flux Arena on Bank Holiday Monday with a fantastic, big family fun event with big van bangers, 1600cc bangers, junior bangers and Reliant Robins.

More than 120 cars are expected to attend with the first race from 1pm. Advance tickets are available from www.stockcar-racing.co.uk
