Spalding United manager Elliot Sandy has left the Southern League Premier Division Central club
Spalding United have parted company with title-winning manager Elliot Sandy.
Sandy led the Tulips to Northern Premier League Midlands Division success last season.
However, after just three games of the new campaign, the Tulips have made the move to dispense with the services of the former Kettering Town and Brackley player.
A club statement said: "Spalding United FC can confirm that following a meeting on Friday morning manager Elliot Sandy has left the club.
"Everyone at the club would like to thank Elliot for all of his efforts and successes over the last two seasons and we all wish him all the very best in the future."
Sandy took over the Tulips reign following the departure of Brett Whaley and led Spalding to the play-offs in his maiden campaign where they were beaten in the final by Halesowen Town.
That was followed by last season's title win which took Spalding to their highest ever standing in the non-league pyramid.
They started the new Southern League Premier Division Central campaign with a home win over Bedford Town but that has been followed by defeats away at both Kettering Town and Bromsgrove Sporting.
Sandy said: "I am gutted with the decision but that is football.
"After promotion in my first full season and building something special at the club, I hoped to be given the chance to continue the good work and, so early into a two-year deal, I can hold my head high and I wish the club nothing but success.
"I just want to thank all the players who I have managed and my management team for all the effort they gave me day in, day out.
"I can look back on my 14 months in charge with immense pride for my first ever job in management.
"To get to a play-off final, two cup finals and win a league title to get the club to step three for the first time in its history will be in the record books forever."
Spalding are due to host title favourites AFC Telford at the Sir Halley Stewart ground on Saturday.
