Finals night for the Holbeach and Pinchbeck darts league




The finals night of the Holbeach and District Summer League takes place tomorrow evening (Friday).

The action gets underway at the Tigers Sports and Social Club with the ladies cup and captain's cup the first trophies up for grabs before the divisional knock-out competitions.

Division Three champions Anchor B will contest their Knock-Out Cup final against a Ship (Long Sutton) side who they pipped to the title.

Tigers A - winners of Division Two - will face Rose & Crown B while Division One champions Tigers D take on Tigers C.

The Anchor B and Ship will face each other again in the Division Three pairs final where Nick Lee and Jayden Lee take on Chris Stubbings and Gary Edwards.

The Division Two pairs final pitches Tony Middleton and Nick Horspool of the Royal British Legion against Monty Bunn and Craig Pilcher of the Greyhound.

Simon Hill and Casey Hill of Tigers D take on Mark Waters and Adam Bland of the Rose and Crown A in the Division One final.

The pursuit of success in the singles starts with the semi-finals where Chris Stubbings (Ship) faces James Almey (Anchor B) with Tom Atkin (Crown) taking on Lee Merrison (Ship) in the Division Three events.

Division Two sees Monty Bunn (Greyhound) up against Bib Sutton (Anchor A) while Nick Horspool (Royal British Legion) plays Luke Emmins (Greyhound).

Simon Hill (Tigers D) takes on Richard Brookes (Tigers C) in the first Division One semi-final with the winner facing Mark Waters (Rose & Crown) or Casey Hill (Tigers D).

The new winter league campaign will get underway on Friday, November 15, with the Caley Cup fours competition being staged on Friday, December 13.

The last of the qualifying events have been held before the Hereward Sports Pinchbeck and District Summer Darts League finals night.

The event takes place tomorrow night (Friday) at the Spalding Services Club with the finalists in the pairs competition now confirmed.

The Division A qualifiers were held at four separate venues with the father and son pairing of Paul and Josh Faulkner (Consti Club C) securing their place.

They were joined by Matt Broderick and Stu Ewins (Consti Club B), Harry Faulkner and Jacob Herd (Consti Club C) and Andy Mason and Stan Potter (Pinchbeck FC).

It will be an all Kirton Leisure affair in the Division B competition with Joby Booth and Jamie Clark joining Josh Smith and Mark Ledger on finals night.
