Fires in Morton and Little Casterton spark 999 calls




An out-of-control bonfire sparked a 999 call on Sunday evening.

Bourne's firefighters went to The Crescent, Morton where they dealt with the blaze, at about 9.30pm.

As well as destroying some waste wood, the fire damaged two metres of plastic guttering and two windows on a nearby garage.

At 5.30pm on Friday (July 3) Stamford firefighters were called to Stamford Road, Little Casterton.

They used one bucket of water to extinguish a camp fire left unattended.
