Uppingham celebrates local and international art

A celebration of the arts in Uppingham is taking place next month in support of good causes.
The Rotary Club of Uppingham will host guided tours of Rutland Antiques and Arts Centre and Peter Barker Fine Art featuring local and international artwork.
The gala evening includes a drinks reception, three-course dinner at The Falcon Hotel and the chance to meet the artists and view their work.
The event takes place on Monday, August 19 at 7pm.
Tickets cost £35 and are available from each of the galleries. Proceeds from the event will go to the club's charities at home and abroad.
Members have supported the Uppingham Hopper, mental health projects and defibrillators. International work includes a motorbike ambulance scheme.
