Two major supermarkets are today warning its customers not to be fooled by fake money off vouchers posted online and on social media.

Aldi and Tesco have both put messages on social media this morning, Monday December 21, warning customers to keep their personal details safe and not be taken in by the hoax deals as households across the country get ready to do the biggest food shop of the year.

On it’s Facebook Page Aldi UK posted: “ALERT: We have been notified that there is a hoax 40% off Aldi voucher being circulated online.

“Please be aware that this post is fraudulent and cannot be redeemed in our stores.

“We strongly advise that you do not complete any personal details or enter the competition that is running as part of claiming the voucher.

“This is currently being fully investigated. Thank you, Aldi UK”

Tesco online is also posted this warning via facebook: “WARNING: any adverts, websites or Facebook pages offering ‘first 100,000 attendants get a Free £250 Tesco Voucher’ are a scam and nothing to do with Tesco.

“For everyone’s online safety we ask you not to follow any links.”
