D-Day commemoration planes fly over villages near Stamford

A formation of 12 American planes flew over the area this morning as part of celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings.

Bob Clark captured the sight as the planes flew over his home at Witham on the Hill at around 11am.

The fly over follows an event at the former RAF North Witham this week when American veteran Lt Col David Hamilton returned to the wartime airfield, which is now Twyford Wood.
