Anonymous donation continues to spread joy to NHS staff and the emergency services as they receive free meat packs
An anonymous donation has allowed staff from the NHS and emergency service to receive free meat packs.
Marie Pears runs a Facebook group called Here To Help Others which supports vulnerable people in the community.
She had the pleasure of delivering the gifts to firefighters, district nurses, paramedics, staff at St Barnabas Hospice and Lincolnshire First Responders.
More donations will be delivered to elderly and vulnerable people next week.
Marie said: "It was a very humbling experience.
"These are some of our local superheroes who serve our community all year round.
"I also visit elderly and vulnerable people who are over the moon for people thinking of them."
Peterborough companies RP Meats Ltd and King Brothers put together the meat packs and helped out with the deliveries.
They received a £40,000 anonymous donation to help deliver packages to key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
The teams have already delivered donations to staff at Stamford Hospital, the Evergreen Care Trust, Wittering Food Hub and Under My Wing in South Witham earlier this month.
