Langtoft wing walker supports Peterborough City Hospital and Breast Cancer Care UK

A charity wing walker who vowed it would be a one-time-only experience has admitted he could be tempted to do it again.

Lewis Trickey took to the skies to celebrate his 65th birthday and raise money for cancer charities which supported his wife Jane.

Despite the experience being "a bit hairy", Lewis admits he might take up the offer of a return trip complete with loop the loops.

He said: "It was all a bit hairy, but I did it.

"The pilot asked if I wanted to do steep dives and tight turns and because I was only planning to do this once, I agreed - but it did make me swear a lot!"

Lewis, of Manor Close, Langtoft, travelled to an airfield in Cirencester for the stunt with his wife Jane and other family members.

The wing walk lasted 20 minutes and saw him reach heights of 1,000ft and a top speed of 120mph.

He took on the challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Care UK and the breast cancer unit at Peterborough City Hospital where Jane was treated.

He said: "My family think I'm mad but they are proud of me."

Five hundred pounds will go to Breast Cancer Care UK and £1,500 to the hospital.
