Women's World Cup quarter finals start tonight with a call from Bourne football fans to back the England team

Football fans are urging people to show their support for the England team as they enter the quarter finals of the Women's World Cup.

The Lionesses take on Norway tonight after winning all their matches so far.

Bourne tattooist Lee Black has been flying the England flag at Mod n Ink since the start of the tournament and is keen to see others do the same.

Together with regular customer Jason Richardson, he wants to see the same level of support that the men's team attracted last summer.

Jason, of High Street, Thurlby, said: "England have been doing really well and it's a shame they're not as well supported as the men, but hopefully we'll get there.

"It's a totally different game and I'd encourage everyone to watch. There's no so much messing around and rolling around on the floor."

The England team started their World Cup campaign on June 9 with a 2-1 win against Scotland.

They went on to win both their other group matches with a score of 2-1 against Argentina and 2-0 against Japan.

The Lionesses then beat Cameroon 3-0 in the knock-out stages on Sunday.

Tonight's match against Norway kicks off at 8pm at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre. It will be screened on BBC1.

If England win they will play either France or the USA in the semi-finals on July 2.

Jason said: "It's a shame they don't have as much of a following as the men's team.

"I just love any sport and will always watch England whatever the sport or team."
