Strays in Stamford High Street closed
A town centre coffee shop has closed this week with bailiff notices posted in its windows.
Strays in Stamford High Street shut yesterday (Tuesday) and management wrote on the company's social media page: "We all had a surprise this morning and we are currently unable to trade.
"We are working through this unexpected issue."
Bailiff notices are attached to the doors of the Stamford coffee shop stating they are acting on behalf of the landlords to take back possession of the premises.
Strays announced plans to open in Stamford in 2019 and moved in following the closure of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill clothing shop, which used to occupy the Grade II listed High Street site.
The coffee shop offered regular live jazz events and has an open-air courtyard at the back.
Strays' branches in Oakham, Newark and Market Harborough remain open. The company management has been contacted for comment.
