Natalie Dams Beauty in St Paul's Street, Stamford recognised at Hair and Beauty Awards

A beauty salon in Stamford has been named the 10th best in the country for eyebrows.

The team at Natalie Dams Beauty in St Paul’s Street was recognised at the Hair and Beauty Awards last week for its ability to create perfect eyebrows.

Owner, Natalie, said: “I was amazed. I knew that we were good at what we do but it was completely overwhelming.

“I’d not bought tickets for the final, which was on Zoom, because I had so much to do at the salon but one of the girls at the salon and a friend I used to work with watched it and told me. I couldn’t believe it.”

She added: “There are six of us that do brows and we are just so happy. We’ve been completely blown away as have had so many lovely messages and responses.”

Natalie submitted pictures of each of the brow stylists’ work to ensure their entry represented the whole salon. Judges also took into account the social media accounts of the stylists and beauticians.

All of the eyebrows differed due to clients’ personal preferences.

Natalie said: “It’s difficult to say what makes the best brow as everyone’s are unique.

“As long as you take that into account when a brow is done everyone will be over the moon with it.”

The team will be putting their skills to the test again when they return to work on April 12, with many people likely to have bushy eyebrows due to salons being closed for months.

“We’ve had a few people attempt plucking at home,” said Natalie.

“Lots of people have been sending pictures of their untouched brows, others will need help after plucking a few too many away but there could be a lot worse situations.

“I’m just looking forward to it. It’s a nice challenge to pluck a really hairy eyebrow!”
