Rutland Big Sale shopping event at Rutland Hall Hotel was a hit
Shoppers were in paradise as they browsed the bargains at the first Rutland Big Sale.
Organisers Charlie Pallett and Victoria Bullett had to turn stallholders away because the event was so popular.
Forty-two independent retailers took part in sale at Rutland Hall Hotel on Saturday, offering everything from clothes and jewellery to candles and gin.
Charlie and Victoria, who run Rutland Women in Business together, wanted to bring retailers together to showcase their sales stock under one roof.
Charlie said: “It was a fantastic day and we had great feedback from shoppers and stall-holders. Some people said they had only come to browse but ended up loaded up with shopping bags.
“They said the sale offered the best selection of small businesses they had ever seen under on roof.”
Visitors were able to take time out from their shopping to enjoy a meal in at Rutland Hall Hotel’s restaurant, which was offering a 20 per cent discount, and listened to live music by Chris Poole and Jake Wells.
Charlie and Victoria are already planning future events, and have a list of businesses which are keen to take part.
Shoppers can sign up to their newsletter at www.rutlandcreative.co.uk/trbs-subscribe to be one of the first to find out about the events, and also be in with the a chance of winning a £50 voucher for Prink and £120 photo shoot with Rutland Creative.
Charlie added: “We have lots of ideas for the future to bring a really good selection of businesses together, including new venues and a return to Rutland Hall Hotel.”
