Bourne Footlights present 84 Charing Cross Road between Wednesday and Friday
Bourne Footlights will perform 84 Charing Cross Road at Bourne Corn Exchange from Wednesday, November 6 to Friday, November 8.
Adapted for the stage by James Roose-Evans, this tender heart-warming drama is the extraordinary true story of Helene Hanff, a vivacious New York writer and collector of rare books, and Frank Doel, a London bookseller.
Over 20 years their friendship blossoms through their funny and often intimate correspondence and their exchange of letters not only became a chronicle of an era from the late 1940s post-war Britain to the Beatles invasion in the 1960s but also a record of a unique love story.
Tickets cost £10 (£8 for senior citizens on Wednesday and Thursday only) from The Ginger Fox Café, Abbey Road, Bourne. Cash or cheque only.
The doors will be open from 7pm and the performance begins at 7.30pm. Drinks and snacks will be available before the performance and during the interval. Visit www.facebook.com/BourneFootlights
