Bourne's new Italian restaurant, Il Mulino, confirms opening takeaway night next week

A new Italian eatery is to have its long-awaited opening night in Bourne on Wednesday.

Il Mulino will open initially as a takeaway and later this year as a 50-seater restaurant when Covid-19 restrictions are eased.

The North Street business is a joint venture between two couples - Anna and Franco Juliano, who run a successful restaurant in Grantham, and Altino and Alda Nazeraj who own The Italian Connection in Sleaford.

They bought the unit about 18 months ago, but opening has been delayed by the pandemic.

The takeaway menu will offer the traditional staples of pizza, pasta and chicken, but the restaurant will have an expanded menu also serving seafood, fish and steak.
