Nest Estates in Stamford calls for donations to cheer up young patients at Peterborough City Hospital on Christmas Day
Children spending Christmas in hospital will receive a special surprise thanks to the team at Nest Estates.
Colleagues from the Stamford estate agency are asking people to buy an extra gift in the run up to Christmas to help bring a few smiles to the Amazon children’s ward at Peterborough City Hospital.
The team presented presents to the ward last year and were thrilled to hear what a difference it made to the young patients.
Business owner Jayne Knights said: “We’ve all got family who have benefited from the hospital’s care over the years and it’s horrible for the children to be stuck in there at Christmas, so we want to make sure they all get something special to open on Christmas morning.”
The team are collecting presents for babies up to 16 year olds. Donations are already rolling in but they are particularly keen to collect more for the younger and older children.
Presents must be brand new because of the hospital’s infection controls.
They can be delivered to Nest Estates in Red Lion Street, Stamford, until Thursday, December 20 so they can be wrapped and delivered before the big day.
