Brooke Hill Academy dedicates outdoor classroom chair to teacher
A reading chair in a new outdoor classroom has been dedicated in memory of a much-loved teacher.
Brooke Hill Academy has held the official opening of their outdoor classroom and willow area.
The classroom has been lovingly hand carved by local sculptor Mr Rey and the willow area created by Ms Foster, both parents at the school.
Every different carving in the classroom has its own significance and is personal to the school.
The beautiful reading chair is dedicated to the memory of Sally Prendergrast, a much loved and inspiring teacher for many years at Brooke Hill.
Both new areas are proving to be a brilliant addition to the school grounds and provide the children with enriched opportunities for learning outside.
The event finished with a cream tea for parents and ice creams for the children provided by the Friends of Brooke Hill Academy Trust.
