Aloha Foods Co brothers will run restaurant at Tolethorpe Hall
An outdoor theatre which attracts thousands of visitors each summer has appointed new caterers.
When the curtain goes up on Stamford Shakespeare Company's Tolethorpe stage in June, brothers Grant and Nathan Worthington will be busy with their latest foodie venture - providing restaurant meals, picnics and drinks to those coming to see the performances.
Best known for their Aloha health food restaurant in St John's Street, Stamford, they won over theatre 'judges' in a trial of their cooking skills.
"This will be a new approach for us," said Grant. "It won't be in the same style as Aloha but we will be using local and seasonal ingredients as much as possible."
To complement the restaurant meals, the bar - which is also under their management - will serve a range of drinks including alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, some of which will be themed to match the plays being performed - Romeo and Juliet, Noel Coward's Hay Fever and Agatha Christie's Spider's Web.
"We're hoping customers will come in and have a drink at the bar before dining," said Nathan.
Those wanting to take advantage of good weather can bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn at Tolethorpe Hall, next to the theatre, or they can order picnics from Grant and Nathan.
In addition the brothers will run a Pimms and Prosecco bar and a snack shop.
They also plan to continue Aloha Foods Co and are planning to open a second branch in Hackney or Seven Sisters in London.
Grant and Nathan will take over the restaurant at Tolethorpe Hall from John Pryke, who was chef at the theatre for 27 years before he retired last year.
