Burglar tries to break in to Sinclairs in Stamford
A night-time burglar broke through a door in an attempt to get into the Sinclairs shop in St Mary's Street, Stamford.
The raid took place at 1am on Tuesday (April 14) when someone forced open a back door and gained entry to a stairway.
They then tried to open the back door to the shop but this was bolted and the criminal left the scene.
Police are investigating and are looking at potential forensic evidence to help solve the crime.
