Otters Fine Food in Oakham regains a five-star food hygiene rating
A café has regained its five-star hygiene status after previously requiring major improvement.
Otters Fine Food, in Oakham High Street, received a one-star rating from the Food Standards Agency following an inspection in March.
Inspectors said improvements were necessary for the management of food safety.
Owner Leo Sugden believes the low score was a result of the café only having one vacuum sealer.
The business now has two - one which is used for raw food and one for cooked products.
The café received a five-star rating following a re-inspection last week.
Leo said he was pleased with the new rating, having been 'good' in 2021.
