A1 at Colsterworth now clear after car fire

The A1 at Colsterworth is now clear following a car fire which closed part of the carriageway.

The fire closed one lane of the southbound carriageway between the B6403 Woolsthorpe and Easton turn-off and the A151 Colsterworth Services junction.

Police and fire crews attended the scene after it was reported around lunchtime.

It was reopened shortly after 3.30pm and traffic is now back to normal levels after delays of up to 40 minutes.
