Card Factory on the cards in Bourne
Bourne is to get a Card Factory store in January.
The retailer is understood to be moving into the empty premises, previously used by William Hill at 17 North Street, which closed earlier this year, but Card Factory refused to comment on the location.
The company has begun advertising for roles, including sales assistant and assistant manager.
A spokesman for Card Factory said: “We’re excited about our new store in Bourne and proud to be helping create more jobs for local
people.
“We look forward to opening our doors soon and meeting our new customers who are going to love our wide range of quality cards, gifts, balloons and gift wrap all at great values.”
Card Factory already operates stores at other nearby towns, including Stamford.
The move comes as card retailer Clintons, which also has an outlet in Bourne, faced the risk of closure. It went into a Company Voluntary Arrangement as it sought to renegotiate rents with landlords.
But last week Clintons said it was ‘sold back’ to its existing owners to secure this and 334 stores.
