Wisteria House care home in Uppingham celebrates its 25th anniversary

A care home has celebrated its 25th anniversary with a party for residents.

Wisteria House in Uppingham hosted the event on Saturday and although it had to be moved inside because of rain, it didn't spoil the fun.

A cake was shared to mark the anniversary and many of the residents families came in to enjoy the event and toast the milestone with a glass of fizz.

Manager Jayne Sharrat, who has worked for the home for 16 years, said it was a great day.

"It was a lovely celebration of a lovely home," said Jayne. "The residents are very happy and relaxed here and they really make the home what it is."
