The care home was previously rated as 'requiring improvement' following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) last year.

Safety, effectiveness and leadership at the home were all called into question, with each area labelled as requiring improvement.

The main areas for improvement were reporting significant events, managing medicine, deployment of staff and individual risk assessments.

Staff did receive high praise for the care shown to residents.

The service changed provider twice in recent years and is now run by the company Red House Care Home Ltd.

The care provider has informed the CQC and Lincolnshire County Council, which is in charge of adult social care, that it is closing down.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire County Council says it will support residents and relatives to find alternative homes.

Red House Nursing Home has been contacted for a comment.
