Elsea Park Community Trust opens centre in Bourne during heatwave

A community centre is open today for residents of an estate during the heatwave.

Elsea Park Community Trust has opened the community centre in Sandown Drive, Bourne, from 8.30am to 5pm to "anyone who can't cope with the expected heat".

In a message posted online, trust manager Graeme Parrott said the hall is air conditioned and there will be free bottled water.

He added: "You are welcome to bring a deckchair and packed lunch if you wish and spend the day with us or just come and go as you please."
