Chance for children to learn about the Rutland ospreys




Tesco has donated £2,000 towards a wildlife education programme.

The Rutland Osprey Project received money from the Oakham branch to deliver sessions at six Rutland primary schools.

The osprey team will visit the two schools in Cottesmore plus pupils in Exton, North Luffenham, Great Casterton and Empingham to talk about the birds.

The team is also hosting a summer school programme for youngsters with a keen interest in nature.

Young people aged eight to 16 can apply for a place on the programme which takes place in July and August. at www.ospreys.org.uk/reserve-expert-summer-school-2019

The deadline is April 1.
