Stamford Animal and Pet Supplies holds raffle for the Cinnamon Trust

A pet shop has received a paw-sitive response to its fundraising mission.

Stamford Animal and Pet Supplies (SAPS) is holding a charity raffle for the Cinnamon Trust, a charity which provides support for elderly and terminally ill people with pets.

Nicky Killon, co-organiser of the raffle, said: “One of our customers is a dog walker for them. The main base is in Devon but they are actually very active in this area.

“It’s an ideal charity to support from our point of view as it’s helping pets from cats and dogs to chickens.”

To provide prizes for the raffle Nicky contacted the companies of products they stock, and was shocked at the amount of donations the shop received.

“We had so many donations it was unbelievable. It’s phenomenal that people are helping to give back,” she said.

The team smashed the target of £500, having already raised more than £1,000.

Tickets cost £1 and can be bought from the store before the raffle, which will be drawn on December 4.
