Charlotte Bingham from Thistleton is representing England at the Dance World Cup this summer in Rome
A dancer who has been dancing since she was two will be representing her country at a world cup.
Charlotte Bingham, who lives in Thistleton, has qualified to represent England at the Dance World Cup in Rome between June 26 and July 4.
The 12-year-old, who attends Walton Girls' High School in Grantham, said: “I’m really excited because I haven’t been to one before.
“I’ve been dancing since I was two so I’ve been doing it for quite a while.
“My team went a few years ago but I didn’t get the chance to go to that.
“We dance all different types of genres - ballet tap modern."
Charlotte dances at Dupont Dance School in Leicester and the school beat off competition from other dance schools in qualifiers to represent England in Rome.
She will be up against 61 teams and more than 20,000 competitors.
Her dad, Richard, said: "It will be an amazing to see and a good experience for her on such a big stage.
"Charlotte works very hard and does a lot of competitions already so this is taking it to the next level."
About £5,000 is needed to get the team to Rome and people can donate by going to the school's Facebook page.
