Grapevine group meets for Christmas lunch at Coronation Hall, Market Deeping
A group which meets for coffee and conversation each week has enjoyed a Christmas lunch prepared by volunteers.
The Grapevine community group served 64 three-course meals - which included cooking no less than 300 Brussels sprouts - for people gathered in the Coronation Hall in Halfleet, Market Deeping.
Pam Byrd, one of the volunteers who helped to make and serve the lunches, said: “It was a lovely, festive occasion with many guests wearing Christmas hats and jumpers.
“We had a secret Santa to provide gifts for everyone and after lunch there was music and dancing.
“We ended up doing a Christmas conga, which was very jolly.”
The regular group meets every Wednesday morning for coffee and conversation, as well as raffles and quizzes.
