Lands' End hosts family festival for staff in Oakham




A company hosted its 25th staff festival in recognition of their hard work and loyalty.

The Lands' End Friends and Family Festival took place on Saturday afternoon (August 13) in the glorious sunshine.

The grounds in Lands' End Way, Oakham, were a hive of activity with entertainers, fairground rides, food stalls and live music throughout the day.

Managing director for Europe, Constanze Freienstein, said: "There was a lovely spirit throughout the festival.

"Once a year we hold this festival to say thank you to our staff for their hard work and loyalty.

"It has been a wonderful year and we're so grateful for their support."

About 2,500 people enjoyed the afternoon's activities.

The company invited a number of Ukrainian families who are currently living with host families in Rutland. They have been supported with clothing donations.

Representatives from the NHS, the police force and the fire service also attended the festival.
