Court Register: Results from magistrates’ hearings
These are the results from recent hearings at magistrates’ courts in our area. We do not carry speeding offences.
Grantham Magistrates, June 2
Lorraine Penham, 48, of Uffington Road, Stamford, was found guilty in her absence of not having valid insurance; of not having the minimum tread on her tyres, and of the rear lights on her vehicle not being in good working order. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and fines totalling £1,600. Her driving licence was also endorsed with eight points.
Loughborough Magistrates Court, June 3
Roger Clarke, 60, of Malvern Walk, Oakham, admitted assaulting a man by beating. He also assaulted four police officers in the execution of their duty. He was given a community order and ordered to pay costs of £150 and compensation of £30 for each victim.
Grantham Magistrates, June 4
Kayley Dennis, 28, of Essex Road, Stamford, admitted using a colour television without a licence. She was fined £35, ordered to pay costs of £120 and a victim surcharge of £20.
Michele King, 52, of Edward Road, Stamford, admitted using a colour television without a licence. She was fined £135, ordered to pay costs of £120 and a victim surcharge of £20.
Adam Manning-Coe, 24, of South Street, Bourne, was found guilty of assaulting two men. He was placed under a curfew for six months and ordered to attend a Resolve programme. He also has to pay compensation totalling £175, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £300. He also pleaded guilty to two charges of sending offensive messages. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £235.
Grantham Magistrates, June 8
Peter Brown, 27, of Lambeth Walk, Stamford, pleaded guilty to damaging a custody cell, which required a deep clean costing £150. He was given a conditional discharge of 12 months. He was ordered to pay compensation of £150, pay a victim surcharge of £15 and a criminal courts charge of £150.
Lee Rhodes, 24, of Great Close, South Witham, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a woman, causing her to believe violence would occur. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, pay a victim surcharge of £60 and pay costs of £65.
John Young, 24, of Cotswold Street, Cottesmore, pleaded guilty to driving while being over the limit. He had 69 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £400, pay a victim surcharge of £40, costs of £85 and a criminal court charge of £150. He was also disqualified from driving for 40 months.
Lee Gray, 31, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to having 2.8 grams of cannabis in his possession while in Cherry Holt Road, Bourne. He was fined £65, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20. It was also ordered that the drugs were destroyed.
Joseph Lawson, 23, of Collyns Way, Stamford, pleaded guilty to having no insurance, failing to stop when asked to by police, and having cocaine in his possession. He was fined £400, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £85, as well as a criminal courts charge of £180. He was also banned from driving for six months and it was ordered that the drugs were destroyed.
Michael Steele, 31, of Sargents Court, Stamford, pleaded guilty to having Methcathanode (M-Cat) in his possession. He was fined £65 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £180. It was also ordered that the drugs were forfeited and destroyed.
Ricky Moore, 24, of Black Prince Avenue, Market Deeping, pleaded guilty to damaging a window and to assaulting a woman. He was fined £100, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150.
Alexander Broome, 38, of Mill Lane, Cottesmore, pleaded guilty to damaging a window to the value of £400. He was fined £70, ordered to pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £20 and to pay costs of £60.
Nicola Coulson, 40, of Burghley Close, Stamford, pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance. She was fined £110, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85, and a criminal courts charge of £150. She was also given six points on her licence. She also pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer, for which she was fined £80.
Lincoln Magistrates , June 8
David Mason, 37, of Dovecote Estate, Bourne, was found guilty of failing to identify a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £600, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85. He was given six points on his driving licence.
Lincoln Magistrates, June 9
Essence Event Solutions, of Cherry Holt Road, Bourne, pleaded guilty to failing to give information relating to the driver of a vehicle which was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. The firm was fined £750, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £75.
Grantham Magistrates, June 9
Phillip Espinosa, 39, of Fen Road, Pointon, was found guilty of not having the appropriate insurance for his vehicle. He was fined £200, ordered to pay costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £20.
Chloe Pearsall, 27, of Newport Way, Ufford, was found guilty of not having the appropriate insurance for her vehicle. She was fined £200, ordered to pay costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £20.
Lee Pick, of Thyme Avenue, Bourne, was found guilty of not having the appropriate insurance for his vehicle. He was fined £200, ordered to pay costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £20.
Kacper Zwoliniski, 20, of Scotgate, Stamford, was found guilty of not having the appropriate insurance for his vehicle. He was fined £200, ordered to pay costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £20.
Georgina Harrison Macfarlane, 24, of Hill View Gardens, Bourne, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle she was not insured for. She was fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20. Six points were put on her licence.
Lincoln Magistrates, June 11
Nigel Theodore, 38, of Kesteven Road, Stamford, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of someone likely to be caused distress, which was racially aggravated. He was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and a criminal court charge of £150. He also pleaded guilty to failing to answer bail, for which he was fined £120.
Lincoln Magistrates, June 15
James Mason, 29, of Edmonds Close, Stamford, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle while disqualified and without having insurance. He also broke bail conditions. He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £60 and a criminal courts charge of £150. His driving licence was also endorsed.
Grantham Magistrates, June 16
Bartosz Pappelbaum, 34, of Ryecroft Avenue, Deeping St James, was found guilty of failing to provide information on a driver alleged to have been found guilty of an offence. He was fined £600, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and six points were put on his licence.
Adrian Forrest, 57, of Wothorpe Mews, Stamford, was found guilty of using a vehicle without insurance. He was fined £600, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for six months.
James Scotney, 38, of Bryony Gardens, Stamford, pleaded guilty to failing to provide information on a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £550, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £55, costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six points.

Ashley Stubbs, 22, of Worcester Crescent, Stamford, was found guilty of using a vehicle where not every lamp was in good working order. He was fined £150, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.
Loughborough Magistrates’ Court, June 17
Paul Hasbury, 35, of The Crescent, Morton, pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit. The reading was 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £540, ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £54 and a criminal courts charge of £150. He was also disqualified from driving for 17 months.
Grantham Magistrates, June 22
Michael Tite, 57, of Allen Close, Billingborough, pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit. He had 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £400, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40, costs of £85, and a criminal courts charge of £150. He was disqualified for 18 months.
Andrew Plant, 43, of Broadgate Lane, Deeping St James, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place and for possessing a bladed instrument. He was fined £35, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and a criminal court charge of £150. A previously imposed suspended sentence also had its conditions varied.
Graeme Lindsay, 35, of West End Villas, Stamford, pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol worth £10.34 from the Coop in Market Deeping and a bottle of £9.69 vodka from Lidl in Peterborough. He was given a rehabilitation requirement programme and ordered to pay a courts charge of £150.
Warren Talbot, 33, of Orchard Close, Bourne, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour and to two separate charges of assault. He was fined £435, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £85.
Grantham Magistrates’ Court, June 30
Daragh Hulme, 36, of St Gilbert’s Road, Bourne, was found guilty of failing to provide information on a driver alleged to have been involved in an offence. He was fined £600, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
