Latest coronavirus cases for South Kesteven and Rutland
Covid cases are dropping but far fewer people are reporting covid test results, according to Government figures.
In South Kesteven there were 1,994 tests reported on February 15, a decrease of 23 percent in a week, while in the seven-day period 19,374 tests had been confirmed.
District-wide, 650 people had a confirmed positive test result in the past week, showing a decrease of 45.6 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
The seven-day infection rate for the district stands at 615 cases per every 100,000 people compared with 1,075 last week.
Sadly one further death has been recorded in the district this week.
The number of positive coronavirus cases in Rutland has dropped again but there has been a 32 per cent decrease in tests taken.
According to the latest Government figures, between February 10 and February 16, 213 people had a confirmed positive test result.
This shows a decrease of 32.8 per cent compared to the previous seven days and brings the total to 9,544 people who have had a positive test throughout the pandemic.
Of a population of about 40,000 in Rutland, 26,654 people had received a booster or third dose by February 14.
Nobody from the county has died with covid in the past week.
Between January 31 and February 6, 70 people went into a North West Anglia Trust hospital, including Peterborough City Hospital, with coronavirus.
