Latest covid figures for Rutland and South Kesteven




More people are testing for covid as an increase of cases are recorded.

Between March 8 and Monday (March 14), there have been 4,366 tests taken in Rutland - an increase of 23 per cent compared to the previous seven days.

In the past week, 319 cases have been recorded in the county bringing the total to 10,365 throughout the pandemic.

The seven-day infection rate stands at 618 cases per every 100,000 people, compared with 649 nationally.

No further deaths have been recorded in the county this week, with the fatalities throughout the pandemic standing at 81.

In South Kesteven, 1,248 have tested positive in the past seven days - a 50 per cent increase.

This brings the total number of people who have had covid in the district to 39,694.

This week the number of people testing for covid is up by 15 per cent.

The number of deaths within 28 days of a positive covid test the district remains at 326.
