Covid deaths recorded in South Kesteven and Rutland

Two further covid deaths have been recorded in the area.

Figures released by Public Health England, show that 112 positive cases have been recorded in South Kesteven this week.

However, there has been a drop in tests taken with only 3,827 recorded results.

The latest death in South Kesteven brings the number of fatalities in the pandemic to 353.

Confirmed covid cases have also fallen in Rutland.

In the past week, 45 people recorded a positive result, out of the 1,303 tests taken.

One further death was recorded bringing the number of people who died in the county within 28 days of a positive test to 86.
