East Northants villagers urged to keep windows closed as firefighters tackle blaze in Gretton Brook Road near Corby




Villagers in East Northants have been advised to keep their windows closed while firefighters tackle a big blaze.

Firefighters are currently dealing with a large fire at a metal recycling plant in Gretton Brook Road near Corby.

Due to a large smoke plume drifting towards nearby Deene and Deenethorpe, residents and local businesses are advised to keep their windows closed.

Update: Crews are making steady progress with the fire being damped down this afternoon (February 22).

Firefighters will remain on site throughout the evening.
