Crowds queue for release of Morris Homes at former Stamford Daniels ground
Cecil Square, the new development of quality Morris homes in Stamford on the site of the former football ground, welcomed a large crowd to its open day.
Competition for the first release of houses on Saturday, March 18, was fierce, with some potential buyers queuing early in the morning while others camped out overnight to be the first on site.
The early start and high competition did nothing to dampen spirits as excited families and couples took the opportunity to visit the Cecil Square site for the first time and commented on Morris’ excellent customer service, attention to detail and the range of homes on offer.
The homes are in Kettering Road on the site of the former Daniels ground. This development marks the start of a new journey for Morris in the region, which is already highly regarded for its quality developments in the North West and greater Midlands area.
Dawn Dolloway, sales manager at Morris, said: “Cecil Square offers a charming combination of modern living and historic character, symbolic of the local area. We’re really excited to be bringing such a unique collection of characterful, premium homes to the area and it’s fantastic to see that excitement echoed by the public.”
The land is owned by Burghley Estates.
Estate director David Pennell said: “We’re thrilled that the launch of Cecil Square has been so enthusiastically supported by the people of Stamford. It’s been a pleasure to work with Morris to deliver a development that will reflect the kind of quality and design that makes Stamford such a wonderful place to live.”
Cecil Square consists of 48 three, four, five and six bedroom homes, which are built using stone crafted by a team of locally sourced stonemasons.
