Cub scouts in Deeping join the Great Indoor Weekender with a focus on wildlife and the environment

Members of the Deepings Apache Cub Scouts have been focussing on helping the environment.

The group took part in the national Great Indoor Weekender which was an international virtual camp.

Activities included wildlife surveys, seed bombing and making bird feeders.

Leader Heidi Latronico-Ferris said: "We hope through these small efforts it will support our natural habitats for us to enjoy in years to come and has given families a positive way in which to spent time together."

The cubs have also written cards for care home residents during lockdown.
