Ambulance staff in Oakham get a rare 10 from Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood
Healthcare heroes at a Rutland ambulance station produced a dance video for a 'bit of fun' - and it has now been given top marks by Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood.
Staff at East Midlands Ambulance Service’s station in Oakham were given a rare 10 by the notoriously harsh TV personality.
The 55-year-old, known for his cruel put-downs on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, posted the video on his Twitter page saying: "Well, that wasn’t quite the disaster, it could have been!
"Lots of love to the Oakham ambulance station and NHS workers everywhere. Do you know what darlings? I’m going to give you a 10!”
The team took up the online challenge called #blindinglightchallenge which requires them to dance along to the tune of Blinding Lights by The Weeknd.
They then uploaded it to video website TikTok whereupon Craig, who lives in Rutland, posted it to his 259,000 Twitter followers.
A spokesman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “It’s just a bit of fun to lighten the mood a little during the coronavirus crisis.
“The team at Oakham wanted to do their own version of the #blindinglightchallenge for TikTok. I think they did a pretty good job – and so does Craig Revel Horwood and he knows a bit about dancing.”
