But at a pre-trial hearing today (Wednesday) Judge John Pini QC relisted the trial for September 1 after being told more evidence was required.

Police were called to Obthorpe Lane in Thurlby at 9.07pm on Wednesday, May 29, following a report that a man had received a stab wound.

He was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with a potentially life-threatening injury.

Wheeler, formerly of The Causeway, Thurlby, was arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently charged.

She later appeared at Lincoln Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempting to murder Hugh Wheeler on May 29, 2019.

Wheeler, who is now living out of the area, was granted conditional bail until her trial at Lincoln Crown Court on September 1.

The trial is estimated to last four days.
