David Tuck, head of politics at Stamford School, gains a Fellowship of the Chartered College of Teaching
The head of politics at Stamford School has received the highest honour in teaching.
David Tuck gained a Fellowship of the Chartered College of Teaching (FCCT) for his contribution, achievement, skills and expertise.
To become a Fellow, an individual must have ten years teaching experience and to have shown a major and sustained contribution to the teaching profession.
Fellows of the Chartered College play an important role in shaping the future of the profession and supporting future generations of teachers.
David has been head of politics at Stamford School for four years. He has co-written two A-level politics textbooks and is an experienced trainer, education consultant and examiner.
David called it ‘a wonderful honour’ to become a Fellow and thanked school colleagues.
College chief executive Dame Alison Peacock called the recognition ‘richly deserved’.
“Our fellows have an important role to play in raising the status of teaching and supporting teachers to be the best that they can be.”
