Delays on A1 between Peterborough and Stamford

Traffic has hit a standstill on the A1.
Drivers travelling northbound on the road this afternoon (Friday, November 24) are queuing between Thornhaugh and the Alwalton turn off.
There are delays of more than 20 minutes., according to AA traffic news.
