Traffic on the A1 northbound delayed at Bloody Oaks Services Tickencote near Stamford

Drivers heading north on the A1 at Stamford are facing delays today (Monday, June 14).

The cause of the problem is not known, but it follows an incident earlier on the southbound carriageway which left traffic in the opposite direction at a near-standstill.

The southbound delay was the result of a broken down vehicle and has now been resolved.
