Latest Covid-19 figures for Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and Market Deeping
South Kesteven's seven-day covid infection rate remains above the national average as further deaths were recorded this week.
In the past week, 510 people tested positive for coronavirus in the district according to figures released by Public Health England this afternoon (August 18).
The district's seven-day infection rate currently stands at 318 per every 100,000 people, higher than the national average of 296.
In the seven days leading up to August 13, 72 covid cases were confirmed in Stamford, 55 in Bourne and 55 in Market Deeping.
The number of deaths within 28 days of positive test increased from 270 to 272 at the beginning of August, after months of no deaths being recorded in the district, and went up again over the weekend to 273.
On Monday (August 16), another death from Covid-19 was reported in South Kesteven bringing the total up to 274 people who have died during the pandemic.
Rutland’s seven-day infection rate currently stands at 220 for every 100,000 people.
A total of 85 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the county in the past week and the deaths within 28 days of a positive test remain at 66.
Across the country a total of 88,401,088 vaccinations have been administered, with 89.6 per cent of adults receiving their first dose and a further 77.5 per cent having had their second.
