Resilient Rutland project seeks new volunteers

A community group is looking for new board members to oversee a mental health project for young people.

Rutland First is a community interest group which works to promote the health and wellbeing of Rutland's residents.

One of its main focusses is overseeing the Resilient Rutland project which attracted lottery money to improve mental health services for children and young people.

Chairman of Rutland First, Miles Williamson-Noble, said: "The young people of Rutland have from the start taken the lead in defining what help they and the schools need.

"But in addition to this, the project needs a strong and multi-skilled board to take care of the business side of the project, and is now looking for three additional board members."

The team are looking for support and expertise in the areas of mental health, school pastoral care, finance, public relations and governance.

They meet once every few months and carry out other business by email in between meetings.

The role is voluntary but expenses are paid.
