Plan approved for dog agility centre in Twenty near Bourne
Plans for a dog agility centre in a hamlet near Bourne have been given the go-ahead.
Marita Davies had applied to construct an ‘agricultural building’ with an astroturf floor near her property on North Drove in Twenty.
The proposals also include 18 parking spaces and opening hours of 8am to 9pm, although the centre would typically operate from 9am until 7pm.
Classes would be restricted to eight people - and their pet pooches - per two-hour lesson with a maximum of five classes per day.
Members of South Kesteven District Council’s planning committee heard on Wednesday (September 30) that the site is in open countryside and no objections had been lodged.
The application was unanimously approved with Coun Judy Stevens (Con, Deeping St James) saying: “It seems like a no-brainer to me.”
