The building was previously home to NatWest, which closed its doors in May 2018, with rumours of Starbucks' plans to move in circulating since 2019.

The upper floors of the building have since been transformed into four luxury rental apartments.

Starbucks is also planning to open a site in the former café at Sainsbury's in Exeter Street, Bourne.
