Driver critical after crashing into tree near Whissendine




A man is in a critical condition after the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree.

The crash happened in Oakham Road, near Whissendine, at about 12.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, September 15). The vehicle, a green Fiat Punto, left the road and collided with a tree. The driver, a man in his 20s, is in a critical condition at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have seen the crash or anyone who may have been in the area, in particular in any farming vehicles, to contact DS 717 David Stokes on 101.
