Oakham man fined for speeding on the A43

A driver received three penalty points after being caught speeding.

Nicholas Begy, of The Dell, Oakham, was clocked driving at 72mph along a 60mph stretch of the A43 between Corby and Kettering on September 23 last year.

Appearing at Northampton Magistrates' court, the 51-year-old was fined £384 and ordered to pay £90 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £38.

Begy had told the court he would lose his job is his driving licence was revoked.
