Escaped python Rolo found safe and well in owner's garden in Wymondham

An escaped python has been found safe and sound in his owner’s front garden.

The mischievous serpent, named Rolo, had slithered out of his tank and out an open window in Wymondham, Melton, overnight on Friday (June 26).

Owner Amber Grove wrote a post on a village Facebook group asking people to keep an eye out for the Ball Python, saying he’s harmless and only eats small rats.

Luckily she found him in her front garden on Sunday evening and let everyone know.

Amber wrote on the public ‘Wymondham & Edmondthorpe, Leicestershire Notice Board’: “My snake turned up in my front garden. Thank you so much for all the kind comments, must have manifested him coming back, thank you all for your help and concern.”

People appear delighted the python has now been found.

One woman wrote: “Glad he’s back where he belongs! Please shut your window so he can’t escape again!”

And another added: “I’m so pleased he’s home, I feel a lot safer now!”
